Job Summary

Long Shoal Marina and Restaurant is seeking friendly, attentive, and service-oriented Restaurant Servers to provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This role involves welcoming guests, taking accurate food and beverage orders, delivering meals promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction throughout their visit. Ideal candidates are personable, efficient, and maintain a positive and professional attitude.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Order Management:

  • Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming dining experience.

  • Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage recommendations.

  • Accurately take and enter orders into the POS system.

  • Deliver food and drinks in a timely and professional manner.

  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.

Dining Area Maintenance:

  • Maintain clean and organized tables, chairs, and service stations throughout each shift.

  • Clear and reset tables efficiently to prepare for incoming guests.

  • Complete side work such as rolling silverware, restocking condiments, and refilling beverage stations.

  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards in all service areas.

  • Assist with opening and closing duties to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Payment Processing & Accuracy:

  • Prepare and present guest checks accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Process cash, credit card, and other payment methods according to company procedures.

  • Handle billing questions or discrepancies professionally and involve management when necessary.

  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and follow all cash-handling policies.

Communication & Teamwork:

  • Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.

  • Support fellow team members during busy service periods.

  • Stay informed about menu updates, specials, and promotions.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous serving or customer service experience preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to lift and carry trays, food, and beverages safely.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.

  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy when taking and delivering orders.
